TP-USB-ANSI Optical Probe for Data Communication
TP-USB-ANSI-x is an optical probe for data communication, compliant with ANSI C12.18-1996 standard. Features are described as below.
Versions:
By interface there are two categories:
1 TP-232-ANSI-x with RS232 (DB9) interface, powered from RS232 and no battery required.
2 TP-USB-ANSI-x: with USB interface
By application property there are 3 types:
1 TP-xxx-ANSI-N: ANSI-Normal type
2 TP-xxx-ANSI-S: ANSI-Siemens type
3 TP-xxx-ANSI-U: ANSI-Universal type (for both "N" and "S" types, controled by RS232-DTR)
Specifications:
Standard: Compliant with ANSI C12.18-1996 standard.
Maximum B.R.: 19200 bps
Mechanical: Impact ABS housing
Environment: Application temperature: -20ºC~60ºC
Fastening: Magnetic adhesion (specified by C12.18 )
USB & Driver: TP-USB-ANSI-x is compliant with USB 2.0 standard. CDROM driver supports all versions of Windows and Vista.
Options: Out lead is 2 meters long in normal, 3 meters as option
USB installation:
l Insert the USB plug into a spare USB port, insert the CD-ROM driver disk.
l Followed the "add new hardware wizard" instructions and go on, it will go twice for the twice installations.
l Right click on "My Computer", choose "Properties" on down menu.
l From "Hardware"/ "Device Manager", you may find corresponding entry in new USB communication port(e.g. COM3).
Notice: Keep away from data card, credit card, because of the magnetic in probe.
